Clas Ohlson’s new large store opened in Jyväskylä, Finland

Clas Ohlson, an European retail chain store, was founded in 1918. It currently has stores in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Great Britain, and Ohlson has been founding 10-20 new stores annually. Ohlson emphasizes customer-orientated and durable solutions with versatile products for household and leisure use. Ir has more than 3 500 employees in Sweden, Finland, Norway, Great Britain and China.

Customer-orientated solutions are visible also in the new Clas Ohlson store at Palokka, Finland. It was opened in September 2011 and has a space of 1900 m2. Pikval’s and Ohlson co-designed new shop fittings concept has been used in creating this functional and stylish space. ’The Palokka store has a lot of space and it’s stylish. New shop fittings solutions and open space made effective product presentation possible for all product groups,’ says Jonas Westerlund, Ohlson’s Project Coordinator in Finland.

Emphasis on clean lines and good shopping experiences
Adjusted heights of all fittings, focus points, versatile display opportunities and wider aisles make the new store stand out. ’We wanted solutions for effective but inspirational displays, so we paid special attention to changing displays and signs. Here customers hace the opportunity to try out a lot of products before making a buying desicion’, Westerlund explains.
